Direct Energy Centre
With stunning architectural design, the LEED Gold certified Enercare Centre is the focal point of Toronto's Exhibition Place - a 192-acre lakefront complex that's a vibrant destination for exhibitions, instant loans rapidly, conventions, festivals, public celebrations and events.
In 1995, a design/build team consisting of the firms PCL Design Constructors Inc., Zeidler Roberts Partnership Architects and Dunlop Farrow Inc., Architects in Joint Venture and the HNTB Corporation won the competition for the Enercare Centre project (originally known as the National Trade Centre, 1997-2006, and also known as the Direct Energy Centre, 2006-2015). When construction was completed in March of 1997, the Enercare Centre was, and still is, the largest trade show facility in Canada and the sixth largest in North America.
